Fear

'Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood'
Marie Curie

"Fear is the path to the dark side... fear leads to anger...
anger leads to hate... hate leads to suffering."

In obedience there is always fear, and fear darkens the mind.
J. Krishnamurti, Beginnings of Learning

What is needed, rather than running away or controlling or suppressing or any other resistance, is understanding fear; that means, watch it, learn about it, come directly into contact with it. We are to learn about fear, not how to escape from it.
Jiddu Krishnamurti

If this elephant of mind is bound on all sides by the cord of mindfulness,
All fear disappears and complete happiness comes.
All enemies: all the tigers, lions, elephants, bears, serpents (of our emotions);
And all the keepers of hell; the demons and the horrors,
All of these are bound by the mastery of your mind,
And by the taming of that one mind, all are subdued,
Because from the mind are derived all fears and immeasurable sorrows.

Good Fear & Bad Fear

'FEAR --------------- There are two kinds of FEAR, good fear, and bad fear. Good fear is fear of God, and his Laws. Like don't put your hand in the fire or you will get burned, God made the Fire, to disrespect the fire, you disrespect God.

Then there is bad fear, or unreasoning fear, like predjudice, reasons you DO FEAR, but it is an unhealthy obsession to do so. Unhealthy for you, and those it hurts. Like racial, or religious persecution. There are lot's of fears and predjudices in peoples lives every day. Biased acts of disrespect, like cutting in line in traffic.

You are better cause you are driving a bronco, but actually they are driven by the fear, that they need to be better, It's all about being who and what you are, and not lying to yourself out of fear. You are bad because, you fear reprisal, not so much as the fact that it was the wrong thing to do. You are afraid that the hidden thing you did will be found out. The true test of forgiveness is forgiveness of self.

Each, man or woman is judged by their inactions in the end, and not just thier actions. Thus it is said, "lord, lord did we not do miricles in your name?", and what was God's reply? Bottom line? Bad Fear breeds within us a false sense of self.

Good Fear, Fear of God Breeds within us Respect for God, and ALL his creation. Through the Fear of hurting another, or ourselves.. .lest we hurt God First, Foremost and Always, what you do to another you do to God! When you Love another, and show respect, you Love God, and Show him respect. '

Bruce, UCS

Embrace your fears, come to understand them, reason with them, embrace them with love, they are a part of you. Maybe the fear is there for a purpose eg. to stop yourself hurting others or yourself, rethink a decision, plan more etc.

Learning from Fear

Releasing the Fear

Whenever you become afraid, be aware what you are afraid of, and just tell yourself, don't worry, it won't be that bad. be positive. Turn the fear into Love.

When you are on a spiritual journey to the Truth and are afraid of some of the mystical experiences / mindblowing coincidences you are experiencing, then just know and feel that God loves us all and will not harm us! However your intent must be positive.

Three Rules for Developing Courage

By Brian Tracy

The First Responsibility of Leadership

The step-by-step development of courage in yourself is the first responsibility of leadership. The second responsibility is to develop and instill courage in others, your staff, your children, your spouse, your friends. But you must begin with yourself because you can't give away something that you don't have. You can only encourage others to the degree to which you experience and demonstrate courage yourself. You set the tone and determine the standard.

Courage Is Mastery of Fear

Here's the first rule: "Everyone is afraid." You're afraid, I'm afraid, everyone you meet is afraid in some way, often in many ways. As Mark Twain said, "Courage is not absence of fear; it is control of fear, mastery of fear." The brave person is the person who acts in spite of his or her fear, who faces the fear, feels the fear and moves forward regardless.

Confront Your Fears

Here's the second rule: "Fears diminish and lose their power over you as you confront them and move toward them; conversely, every time you back away from a fear situation, the fear grows and becomes more powerful."

Make It A Habit

The only way to develop courage is to consciously and continuously make a habit of confronting your fear of treating every fear-inducing situation as a challenge and as an opportunity to become stronger, more resolute.

Do The Thing You Fear

Here's the third rule: "Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain." Psychologists call this the process of "systematic desensitization," doing it over and over until it holds no fear for you at all. Many businesspeople who have been so afraid of public speaking that they couldn't lead a silent prayer in a phone booth have used this process of eliminating fear.

Fear can also mean to respect

When I have a fear I , take a deep breath, realize where the fear stems from, release the fear and replace with a positive thoughts. I remind myself I am truly divine and there is nothing to fear but we should cherish and respect every existing energy in the universe.

Nothing to Fear

Nobody can ever affect our true selves / soul - unless we choose to give away our power.

Our memory, karma, soul, experiences, beliefs, attention, intention, will power, intellect, talents, virtuous actions, attitudes can not be damaged or taken away by others unless we let them be damaged.

As it says in the Course in Miracles

Nothing real can be threatened or destroyed. Our freedom of choosing our thoughts can never be threatened by another human, unless we let them.

So what is real? This is a big question. For the possible explanations and perspectives see reality

Advertising - Motivating with Fear?

People naturally avoid pain and move towards pleasure.

In fact most advertising is based on motivating people through fear. eg. hair products for balding men

As is some of religion. eg. promoting Fear of sin / bad karma

However it depends on 'means to an end'. Aristotle mentions it is ok to persuade others as long as the intention is pure, and it is for the highest good of all.

Now ask yourself do many of the large high street corporations have your best interests at heart. Also ask yourself about some of the religions.

Maybe the person who initiated the new religion / corporation was pure, however what about the followers / employees.

Law of life Karma

Understanding nature, the universe, oneself and the laws they obey, one realizes that virtuous / positive actions lead to positive outcomes ie. more opportunity for pleasure and less opportunity for pain. Likewise negative actions lead to negative consequences ie. more limitation of pleasure, and increased levels of pain.

This is about the law of Karma / Cause and effect.

If only everybody understood this law and practised harmlessness, the world would instantly be a better place. - more peace and joy for all.

Blessings to you . Keep letting love and light shine
